암호화 길이에 영향을 주는 게...mySQL 버전 뿐인가요?

MySQL 버전 5.5.18  에서 MySQL 버전 5.0.90  버전으로 옮겼더니 로그인이 안되네요. ㅜㅜ

호스팅 관리자분께서는 암호화 길이가 달라서 그렇다는데...

두 버전 사이 암호화 길이는 어떻게 다른가요?
